Logo Of The Week: Standaard Boekhandel

It’s weekend again, and that means there’s a new logo of the week. This week I came across this great logo. It was made by Thomas, a Belgian designer. This logo is part of a school task where they have to re-design an existing logo. You can see a comparison between the original logo and Thomas’ creation below. I really think this is a massive improvement over the original logo. What do you think?

The default logo always made me think of something that kind of disgusts me, don’t know what it makes me think of though :D

definitely an improvement here..the original is actually awful, everything (colours, font and that thing that should resemble an owl) is an unfortunate choice. i like the font used for the redesign, but i’m not sure about that owl/shopping cart. knowing about what standaard boekhandel is all about would help.

not really a fan of either logo, although it is a definite improvement.

Really prefer logo’s like this, which coincidentally is something I came across this week.

I don’t like the new one, there is no added value apart from the monochromatic look, which looks like any other. I still wonder why to change for a new one?
