Unless you’ve been living under a rock for the past 5 years, you’ve probably already visited Smashing Magazine. It’s one of the most popular design blogs that cover everything from photography to web design. A few months ago, they decided to create the Smashing Network. Network members contribute high-quality content to the web design community. For this, Smashing Magazine was looking for a new logo/badge. They approached Graham Smith to design it.

Smashing Magazine is at the forefront of the design community and their network was a logical step as the design community becomes more connected. A simple, clean logo that maintains their brand recognition. It is very apparent when you are browsing members of their network.

Appreciate the write-up. It was an interesting project to work on for sure, given the ‘critical’ nature of design. A little daunting for sure, but think we came out OK with it.
