TheRoxor Is One Year Old!

They say that time flies when you’re having fun. Well, I couldn’t agree more. I can’t believe it’s already been a year since I started this little blog. My initial goal of this blog was to have some sort of an outlet, somewhere where I can share the things I enjoy most with the rest of the world. But over these 12 months this blog has become more than that: it has become a passion.

I recently went on a holiday. I was only gone for five days, but this time made me realize how much I love the design community. Don’t get me wrong: I love some time off, but I also miss the great things that this community has to offer: twitter, inspirational galleries, quality design blogs filled with tutorials, inspiration and resources… It would be hard to say goodbye to all of these.

All in all, it has been a great year for TheRoxor. We’ve published plenty of articles the cover popular design aspects such as photoshop tutorials, package design, web design, Wordpress, icons, textures, photography… The stream of visitors has been increasing steadily, together with the number of followers on Twitter. TheRoxor is run by Kevin Vertommen, a 22 year old design addict from Belgium.
My first language is Dutch, but I also speak English, French and a little bit German.
I chose ‘TheRoxor’ as a name for this blog because I wanted to use something unique and catchy.
This year I’ve published 198 articles.
These articles have received 923 comments.
I also wrote three guest articles.
Last month, TheRoxor had 97,777 unique visitors and 185,060 pageviews.
70% of these visitors came from referring site and 10% came from search engines.
Most visitors use Firefox (58%) followed by IE (14%) and Chrome (12%).
Thanks to Akismet, 20,549 spam messages were caught.
TheRoxor has 1,560 followers on Twitter.
